Frequently Asked Questions

European Fulfilment

What is European fulfilment?

European fulfilment means storing products in a European warehouse and processing customer orders from that location. Orders are picked, packed and shipped to customers across Europe from local inventory — reducing delivery times, shipping costs and customs complexity compared to sending every order from outside Europe.

Why should I store inventory in Europe?

Local European inventory shortens delivery distances, improves tracking reliability, simplifies returns and creates a better post-purchase experience for European customers. It also reduces dependence on intercontinental parcel shipping.

Why the Netherlands?

The Netherlands has one of Europe’s most advanced logistics infrastructures, direct access to major consumer markets, strong international carrier networks and widespread professional use of English. It is a practical hub for European fulfilment.

Shopify and Integrations

Can Vareya connect to Shopify?

Yes. Vareya can automatically process Shopify orders as part of the fulfilment workflow. The exact connector, supported applications, inventory updates and tracking-return setup are confirmed during onboarding.

What other platforms does Vareya support?

Vareya uses ShipHero as its warehouse management system. Amazon FBM orders can also be processed. Other platforms and custom integrations are reviewed case by case.

Shipping and Delivery

Which carriers does Vareya use?

Vareya uses PostNL as its main standard carrier, FedEx for express shipping and Royal Mail for UK services. The final carrier depends on the product, destination, customs requirements and service agreement.

Which countries does Vareya ship to?

Vareya supports shipping across Europe and to confirmed international destinations including the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, China, Hong Kong and Japan. Other destinations can be reviewed.

What is the cut-off time for orders?

A cut-off time of up to 23:00 may be agreed for a suitable operation. The applicable cut-off depends on the order profile, product, carrier collection and service agreement.

Products and Suitability

What products does Vareya fulfil?

Vareya does not accept products that are prohibited by law. All other products remain subject to a compliance, storage, handling and carrier review before acceptance. Vareya is generally a fit for operations from 500 orders per month.

Can Vareya handle cosmetics and supplements?

Yes, subject to review. Cosmetics and supplements need clear product records, lot or batch requirements, expiry instructions, manufacturer storage instructions, packing rules, destination restrictions and return decisions. Read more about cosmetics and supplements fulfilment.

Returns

How are returns handled?

Returns can be processed in the Netherlands and through a local return route in England. Inspection, restocking, quarantine and disposal rules are agreed during onboarding.

Getting Started

How long does onboarding take?

How much does European fulfilment cost?

Fulfilment costs generally consist of storage, inbound handling, pick and pack, packaging, shipping, returns and account-specific services. A quote requires information about your products, volumes and destinations. Request a quote.
